Yulia Brodskaya loves typography, paper, and highly detailed hand-made craft objects.

As I browsed through some of her General Illustration I was reminded of the work of Gustav Klimpt with a modern twist. Particularly the Faithlessness piece. She has a very strong typographic technique. And her PAPERgraphics left me absolutely speechless.

You should definitely check out her incredible work.

The first time I saw the Bejewelled series by Claire Skully, my mind was blown. The infinite details, patterns and shapes demonstrate great passion and skill.

Her online gallery is full of surprises from her incredible portraits to my favorite, the bark studies. It’s inspiring to me to see such patience.

Wow, this looks like so much fun. The video is completely inspiring and the installation serves as the most wildly creative outlet to produce art with light.

It’s no surprise that clients such as Nike, Sony, PEPSI and Motorola have chosen to work with Liu Zheng after seeing his incredible illustrative capabilities.

His site is filled with endless samples of colors, drawings and compositions that I find quite impressive. I especially appreciate his shout out to Einstein in a few of his pieces (I just finished reading his biography).

It’s nice to see clients like these offering what appears to be full creative freedom.

I’ve been using Grid for the past week and I have to say it’s a pretty nifty tool. It basically allows me to build and overlay a custom grid system on any website.

Recently I’ve been building my own tileable background images and grid layouts, then applying them using CSS. But using Grid is quite a bit speedier.

The only issue I’ve come across is Grid’s inability to stay active upon refresh. Unfortunately it needs to be turned on after every new page request.

With a name like Hudson Furniture you’d never guess that some of the most beautiful lighting also comes out of this incredibly creative brand.

Each piece appears to be freshly cut, yet polished to perfection. The bedframes boast oversized headboards that appear to be sliced directly from the tree itself, while the rest of the piece is minimalistically formed to create a beautiful contrast.

The lighting comes in a variety of sizes and shapes with some of the designs leaving me quite speechless. The Strip Sconce is definitely one of my favorites.
