Here's a quick photo of a telephone pole that I captured from my walk on Saturday. I really like the silhouette the sun gives the image. The wire structure contrasts nicely against the free flowing trees. Enjoy!

So, we all seem to have those days when we're sitting in front of the computer thinking, "Arrgh!, why can't I design anything today?" A total block. Creative flow gone. Where did it go? No one knows. But it happens, and it's one of the most frustrating things a designer can face.
Three simple words that can help eliminate the designer blues - walk it off. I love heading out to the local trails with my wife and Miller. With such beautiful surroundings, it's pretty tough not to find some inspiration. Birds, trees, mountains, and the crisp fresh air, it's Mother Nature at her finest. Here's a photo of Miller in his favorite place to walk. His word for it...freedom.
Chocolate Nursery

I had to post this photo of my new nephew's nursery. My sister-in-law Melanie is an amazing interior designer. When she was expecting, she came up with this fantastic plan which includes a chocolate brown feature wall, white polka dot wall decals, striped bedding, and white furniture. The storage boxes beneath the crib are wrapped in an organic floral illustration, also in chocolate.
I wish I had more photos to share, but this is it for now. Stay tuned, and when I have a chance I will add some more nursery photos to this article.
A Weekend Getaway

If any of you have thought about heading up to Whistler, BC, I found a fantastic place online the other day. It is a small boutique hotel called Adara. Each room is complimented with brilliant colours, a "Canyon" chair, a "Munro" coffee table, a floating fireplace, and a shower screen made from a photograph of Alder cut logs. But best of all, this hotel is dog friendly!
